New Farm Ride

Starting in the historic area of Teneriffe and following the river down to the Brisbane Powerhouse and New Farm Park, the New Farm ride is one of Brisbane’s most beautiful rides.

Tucked into a large fold of the Brisbane River, in one of the cities oldest suburbs, this route starts at the historic Teneriffe Pier and heads down the river to the Brisbane Powerhouse and  New Farm Park.

There is nothing difficult about the trail as it passes through this diverse part of Brisbane, renowned for its large Queenslander style homes, leafy, tree-lined streets, restaurants, bars and arts community.

As a bonus, your destination at New Farm Park is a popular park, where for a couple of weeks at the end of September, the park is a sea of purple as the jacarandas come into flower. The park covers 18 hectares and is well equipped with BBQ facilities, toilets and a playground for the kids. There is always something happening here, with around 18,000 visitors each week coming to picnic, play, exercise or just relax.

If you are looking to extend your ride, you can continue onto the Brisbane Riverwalk, one of Brisbane’s world-class separated pathways which will take you right around to the Botanic Gardens.
